The Armenian Catholic Church was built in the 16th century. However, research has not yielded detailed information about the church's history. Suggestions for dating the building are based on similar structures in the region and stylistic analysis of the church's decorations. The church, which has the richest decoration among the churches in Diyarbakır, is constructed of basalt stone. The muqarnas ceiling in the southern apse and the tile remnants on the altar wall highlight the architectural craftsmanship and grandeur of the building. Inside the church, there are also Armenian inscriptions and tombstones belonging to various religious figures.
