The Devegeçidi Bridge is built on the Devegeçidi River, on the Diyarbakır Ergani road. According to the inscription on it, it was built in 1218 by the Artuklu ruler Melik Salih Mahmud and designed by the architect Cafer Ibn Mahmud. Completely constructed from basalt stone, the bridge consists of a total of 7 arches. The span of the largest arch is 13.7 meters. Having historical and strategic importance, the bridge is notable for its strong stonework and Artuklu era architectural features.
