Deva Hamam is located on Deva Street in the Abdal Dede neighborhood, between Mardin Gate and Balıkçılarbaşı. According to legend, a camel that went missing from a caravan was found in this bathhouse after being searched for for several days. For this reason, the bathhouse is also known as "Deve Hamam" (Camel Bathhouse) among the people. Furthermore, it is also known as "Deva Hamam" (Healing Bathhouse) because it is believed to have healing properties.
