Guzelseyh Palace

Güzelşeyh Kasrı is located in Gelensu Hamlet, Altınakar Village, Çınar district of Diyarbakır. While the exact date of its construction is unknown, examination of period additions, other monumental structures in the surrounding area, and official documents suggests it was initially used as an inn or roadside resting place. Ottoman documents indicate that it was used as a madrasa and tekke (religious school and dervish lodge) in the 1900s. However, the building, later abandoned, was constructed using a combination of materials such as basalt and limestone. It stands out as a unique structure with its distinctive architecture and local style.
