The Kubad Âbâd Seljuk Palace is located 60 km west of Beyşehir. It was built by Alaeddin Keykubad I. Archaeological excavations are still ongoing, and the discovered tiles and other artifacts are exhibited in the Karatay Museum. After İbrahim Hakkı Konyalı and Prof. Dr. Osman Turan indicated that the palace should be located in the vicinity of Beyşehir, Zeki Oral, the director of the Konya Museum, located Kubad Âbâd in 1949. Excavations have uncovered the main structure in Kız Kalesi, the bath section with in situ tiles, and the architectural remains surrounding the Küçük Saray (Small Palace), an important unit of the coastal palace complex. Furthermore, the plan of the existing part of the structure has been revealed through excavations at the Malanda Pavilion. Numerous tiles, ceramics, plaster, glass, and coins from the Seljuk period have been found. Beneath the Seljuk layer surrounding the Küçük Saray, remnants and small finds from the ancient period have been identified.
