It is also known as the Latifoğlu Mazhar and Fahri Bey House. The exact construction date of the mansion is unknown, but Fahri Latifoğlu, one of its heirs, states that the building was constructed in 1160 AH (1746 AD). Purchased by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 1985, the mansion was opened to the public as a "museum house" in 1989 after restoration and exhibition arrangements. Later, between 2007 and 2010, it underwent further maintenance and repairs, and was reopened to the public in 2010 after exhibition arrangements were completed.
