Built during the reign of Sultan Kılıçarslan III (1156-1192) and later repaired and expanded by Sultan Alâeddin Keykubad, it is also known as the Alâeddin Pavilion. Constructed as a two story building, its walls are decorated with tiles and calligraphic borders. Recent excavations by the Konya Museum Directorate have unearthed artifacts, and restoration projects are ongoing based on these findings. It is a very important Seljuk palace structure that served as an inspiration for the palaces of Bursa, Edirne, and Topkapı, and especially the Towers of Justice.
