Located in Silvan district of Diyarbakır, outside the city walls and by the river, this mansion is where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk resided for six months in 1916 when he was appointed Corps Commander in Silvan. During his stay here, Atatürk liberated Bitlis and Muş from enemy occupation and was awarded the Golden Sword Medal of Merit. Today, it is open to visitors as a museum.
