The bridge is believed to have been built in the 15th century during the Dulkadir Beylik period. Although it has undergone various repairs over the years, the Ceyhan Bridge retains its original features. It is 158 meters long and has six pointed arch spans. The bridge is surrounded by a rubble stone railing varying in height between 0.60 and 1.10 meters. There are three breakwaters on the bridge piers, two of which are still intact, on the downstream side.
