Located on the Trabzon Çaykara Ataköy road, approximately 105 km away, Sultanmurat Plateau is situated at an altitude of 2000 meters. Located on the edge of the forest, the plateau has electricity, water, telephone, toilets, grocery stores, greengrocers, bakeries, coffee shops, mosques, small hotels, and guesthouses. Infrastructure and social facilities are available. A hotel with a capacity of 100 beds, along with a restaurant and other ancillary facilities, provides accommodation and food services for visitors. Every year on August 20th, the "Plateau Festival" is held, and every year on June 23rd, the "Martyrs' Commemoration Day" is celebrated, commemorating the martyrdom of 1 officer and 70 soldiers who fought against the Russians in 1916. Furthermore, the plateau gains historical significance as it is the place where Sultan Murad IV led Friday prayers and where the pulpit stone is located, upon his return from his second campaign against Persia in 1635.
