Uluyayla is located 27 km from Ulus district. Situated at varying altitudes between Göktepe (1416 meters) and Ovacuma (300 meters), its average elevation is 1000 meters. Uluyayla is an 86,000-hectare untouched forest area. It consists of flat, wide meadows spread over 7,000 hectares, each 200-300 meters wide. The total area of the plateau is 18,255 hectares, while the Kalkanlı locality, which forms part of the plateau, covers 60 hectares. The vegetation comprises coniferous and broad leaved tree species and hundreds of undergrowth species. Located 27 km from the Ulus district center, this plateau beckons visitors with its cool air, cold water, and lush greenery. Upon arrival, you are greeted by colorful flowers and natural beauty. You can also witness wildlife here, particularly a large number of wild boars. Within Ulu Yayla, the following tourist areas are worth visiting: Kırlangıç Cave, Çakman Plateau, Karlık Cave, Çirkince Plain, Kızılgöl Plateau, Ali Usta's Dam Side, Kemikli Cave, Water Wreck, İn Ağzı Tomb, Çıngıllı Well, Kara Kaya, Uyku Hill, Büyük Çukur, Taş Yalağı (Natural), Bacaksız's Cemetery, Seyir Kayası, and Kalkanlı Forest Management Facilities.
