UZUNGÖL ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AREA

Uzungöl is one of the regions in Trabzon with significant tourism potential. The road between Trabzon and Uzungöl is 99 km long and paved. Formed by a landslide that naturally dammed the Haldizen Stream valley, the lake, surrounded by spruce forests, presents an attractive landscape. The Uzungöl settlement, located on the lake shore, is a municipality. To the south of the town, which has accommodation and dining facilities, there are plateaus ranging from 1500 to 3000 meters and several crater lakes. Opportunities for relaxation, nature walks, plant observation, sport fishing, and cycling tours are available.
