Yedigöller National Park has a strong infrastructure for scientific studies and research. Containing a total of 236 plant species, primarily lilies, cyclamens, crocuses, and orchids, the National Park also boasts some of the most beautiful mixed natural forests in Turkey. The main tree species found here include beech, hornbeam, oak, alder, maple, elm, trembling poplar, yellow and black pine, fir, hazelnut, rowan, goat willow, wild cherry, yew, linden, and ash. The Yedigöller region maintains its biological diversity through its preserved trees. Wildlife includes bears, wild boars, wolves, foxes, wild cats, lynxes, badgers, martens, squirrels, deer, roe deer, and rabbits. Over 100 bird species have been identified within the National Park area, including wild ducks, wild pigeons, woodpeckers, turtledoves, quails, woodcocks, starlings, magpies, and partridges. With these features, Yedigöller National Park is a true paradise of nature. Sport fishing is permitted in Büyük Göl and Deringöl lakes for a fee between May and September each year. The lakes are home to lake trout and rainbow trout.
