The Zeugma Mosaic Museum is located on the site of the former Tekel factory and was opened on September 9, 2011. The Zeugma Mosaic Museum and Exhibition and Conference Center has a total floor area of 30,000 square meters, with 25,000 square meters of indoor space. The complex consists of three building blocks: Block A houses mosaics brought from the ancient city of Zeugma; Block B contains floor mosaics from churches of the Eastern Roman period unearthed during excavations in Gaziantep and its surroundings; and Block C houses the administrative floor, conference rooms, and foyer. The Zeugma Mosaic Museum collection displays 3,000 square meters of mosaics, 140 square meters of wall paintings, 4 Roman fountains, 20 columns, 4 limestone sculptures, a bronze statue of Mars, tomb steles, sarcophagi, and architectural fragments from the Roman and Eastern Roman periods.
