Opened in 1962, the museum displays artifacts from the Neolithic, Early Bronze Age, Hittite, Phrygian, Greek, Roman, and Byzantine periods. Featuring artifacts unearthed during excavations at Çatalhöyük, Canhasan, Erbaba, Sızma, Karahöyük, and Alâeddin Tepesi, as well as Roman era sarcophagi, the museum is open to visitors every day of the week except Monday.
