One of the other churches still active in Diyarbakır today is the Mor Petyun Chaldean Catholic Church, which survives thanks to the support of a small Chaldean community. Located in the Sur district, this historic church was built in the 17th century. The Chaldeans are one of the communities that have maintained their presence in this region for many years. Today, a few Chaldean families living in Diyarbakır hold their worship, ceremonies, and weddings at the Mor Petyun Chaldean Church. Currently, it is used as an art gallery.
